Balikpapan (beritajatim.id) – Thousands of students in Balikpapan lined the streets to welcome the arrival of the Red and White Flag Replica, which arrived at Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Airport on August 10, 2024, aboard a TNI AU Boeing 747.
The convoy carrying the flag, consisting of around 20 vehicles, made its way smoothly from the airport to the new capital city (IKN), with students and police personnel ensuring a festive and secure atmosphere along the route.
The streets of Balikpapan, known as the “City of Faith,” were filled with excitement as students waved flags and cheered enthusiastically for the arrival of the convoy. The flag was paraded through the city in a carnival-like procession, escorted by security forces, symbolizing national pride and unity.
The parade, celebrating Indonesia’s heritage, proceeded without incident, reflecting the strong spirit of the community in supporting the event. (hdl)
