Jakarta (beritajatim.id) – On Saturday, August 10, 2024, the atmosphere at Monumen Nasional (Monas), Jakarta, was electric as citizens gathered to witness the parade of the replica of the Sang Merah Putih flag and the Proclamation Text en route to the new capital, Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN). Despite the morning heat, the enthusiasm of the crowd was palpable as they eagerly awaited the historic event.
The procession of vehicles carrying the flag replica and the Proclamation Text captivated the attention of the onlookers. Cheers, applause, and shouts of excitement filled the air as the parade made its way through the streets.
For many, this event was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Ratih, a resident of Cibubur who attended with her child, noted that the lively atmosphere was further enhanced by a marching band accompanying the parade. “It’s definitely exciting and crowded, especially with the marching band. It’s also an educational experience for the kids,” she said.
Ratih emphasized that the parade served as an educational moment for her children, fostering nationalism and love for the country. The presence of the Pasukan Pengibar Bendera Pusaka (Paskibraka) in their crisp uniforms added to the significance of the event. “Seeing the Paskibraka is inspiring. Maybe in the future, my kids could join them,” she added.
Anisa, a student at SMKN 59 Jakarta, shared her excitement, especially at the sight of the tactical vehicle “Maung” transporting the flag replica and Proclamation Text to IKN. “It was amazing to see the replica being taken to IKN. It felt really special,” Anisa remarked.
This year’s parade of the flag replica and Proclamation Text was not just a symbolic event but also a powerful reminder of unity and national pride.
